To her it was going to be the same old birthday ritual where she will run her errands in the house and then make herself a cup of rooibos tea and sit on her mat by the veranda. Little did she know that the members of Aganang had a pleasant surprise for her.
James Motsamai and the team invaded Kate' house and did what we call some spring cleaning - the house was turned upside down and all the windows and curtains were washed for her pots were scraped and a small luncheon was prepared "this was her 92nd birthday and we felt we needed to make it special, she is a lonely lady who stays alone and when she mentioned it in passing that she was growing a year older we couldn't resist doing something small for her"
The team brought plenty of gifts including blankets since it is Autumn "Kate will be well armed for the winter season and as the mission of the organization is to protect and care for our senior citizens we have met our mandate here" chuckled James.
"I am over the moon I could have not imagined my day turning out the way it did I'm grateful that the team from Aganang Home Based Care thought of me today, I don't even remember the last time I had some cake" Said Kate smiling.
